Educational Institutions in Rawalpindi to Remain Closed on 18 December

On the occasion of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Foreign Ministers Conference, the authorities in Rawalpindi have stated that all educational institutions in the city, including schools, colleges, and universities,  stay closed on December 18, 2021.

However, educational establishments (schools, colleges, and universities) situated in cantonment regions are exempt from this regulation.

The statement was made through a notice from Rawalpindi’s Deputy Commissioner Office. “All Educational Institutions, including Universities, Colleges, and Schools (Government and Private) located within the borders of Rawalpindi City areas, except Cantonment areas, will remain closed on 18.12.2021 (Saturday) due to the OIC Foreign Ministers Conference,” the announcement said.

Following tomorrow’s National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) meeting, it’s worth mentioning. Provincial administrations are expected to decide on winter holidays.

The Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference, which took place on Tuesday, resolved to provide winter vacations from December 25 to January 4, although no final decision has been made.
